Do you interplant your veggies? This technique allows you to grow more food in less space by using the room between vegetables to grow other vegetables. There are several ways to interplant, but my favourite is demonstrated in this photo from my garden. I’ve interplanted slower growing spring cabbages with quicker growing leaf lettuce. By pairing slow growing veg with quicker growing veg I can double harvest from this bed. By the time the cabbages need the space, the lettuce has been harvested. Plus, having something planted between the slower crops minimizes weed growth. Sneaky, eh? 😃 I also interplant carrots and spring radishes, tomatoes and spinach, celery and kohlrabi. Do you have a fave combo for interplanting? 🥦🥬🥕 . . . . . . #Lovegardening #growsomething #growingfood #instagardeners #gardeningtips #garden #gardening #mygarden #allotment #growyourownfood #homegrown #homegarden #backyardgarden #vegetablegarden #veggiegarden #organicgarden #urbangarden #organicgardening #kitchengarden #potager #gardenlife #greenthumb #gardenlove #growyourown #gardentotable #GYO #raisedbeds #garden_styles #gardendesign
